A deep golden beer with a creamy white head, with an aroma of toasted malt, orange, fruit and spice notes. Rich smooth nutty malt flavours, a crisp hop bitterness and a lingering apricot and bitter orange finish on the pallet.

Cask at the William Webb Ellis, Twickers, 29/03/14, JDW Spring 2014 Fest Beer #5. Clear golden with a moderately sized off white head. Nose is light caramel, bready twang, suggestion of vanilla. Taste comprises caramel, straw, light fruit tones, pretty bland stuff. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, lightly drying grassy close . Pretty so so affair everything thatβs thoroughly underwhelming about this style!

Cask at Willow Walk. It pours golden amber with a medium off white head. The nose is toasty, dough, grain, hay and cornbread. The taste is bitter, toasty, grain, dough, light spice, twig, citrus peel and monkey nut with a dry finish. Medium body and fine carbonation. Fairly standard golden bitter affair. Drinkable enough.
