This rich dark old ale has been brewed exclusively for this Wetherspoon real-ale festival, with roast barley and dark chocolate malt balanced by a crisp pine citrus aroma.

Cask at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell. Dark chestnut with a tight cream head; malty biscuit aroma; smooth and creamy in the mouth with a decent bitterness and some sweet fruit and licorice; then a lingering piney finish cutting through the fruity chocolate. Pretty good.

Wetherspoon Beer Festival. Dark red with a thin head and a very small roasted malt character. Slightly dry tasting.
