Pours dark, ambercolored brown. Small white head. Smell is that of grinded coffee. Taste is bitter, light, weird. Sweet, spiced and perfumy. Got a herbal note as well....

Bottle: Poured a nice amber/copper color ale with a huge foamy head with excellent retention and some very good amount of lacing. Aroma of Belgian malt base with nice caramelized notes is quite enticing. Taste is a nice mix between some Belgian malt base, some residual candi sugar with caramelized notes and alight bitter finish. I don’t get the coffee name since I could not detect any coffee notes. Body is full for style with good carbonation. Nice mix of drinkability and complexity but maybe a bit clean for Fantome.

Capped/corked 750 from The Davis Beer Shoppe. Pours really, really darkly ruddy. Tan head. Aroma of strongly good coffee. Med + body. Flavor is very coffe, smooth coffe, malt, some very light fruit esters. Works well for me. But not every day. Finishes a bit less than dry, and moderately bitter.

750 ml bottle @ Kick. Slightly unclear reddish, deep golden body with a decent off-white head. Aroma has mild coffee and some dry fruit with Belgian yeast and a slightly more modest Fantome expression than usually. The flavor is sweet malt, medium fruity, moderate in bitterness, some pepper and of course coffee. Fine body and OK aftertaste. I also had this about one year ago and think both the bitterness and the coffee flavor are rather drastically reduced. The beer is still quite nice, but far from the more unique flavor it has fresh. Will give this one point better score than noted based on the memory from the fresh version.
