Chelmsford Winter Beer Festival. KEGS. Cask. Light haze on this pale gold beer, good bubbly white head. Palate is light and crisp. Great condition. Light floralness. Light lemon peel and grapefruit peel, touch of sherbet. Light finish. Fabulous! Light and crisp and tasty and hugely drinkable.

Cask @ Old Gate, Hebden Bridge. Mid-yellow with a smooth head. Has a hoppy citrus character edging towards lemon and grapefruit.

The ’Oakademy of Excellence’ beer for January/February. Cask @ Wetherspoons, Milton Keynes. Clear light gold, not a lot of head but a lot of lacing. Full citrus and tropical fruit hop in the nose. I take a sip. Bitter and more bitter! Bitter finish with a mega-hoppy aftertaste. The extreme bitterness subsides (or do I get used to it?) after about a third of the pint. For a low ABV beer this packs a punch. Try this!
