Draft. A very dark brown beer with a tan head. The aroma has noets of roasted malt, chocolate, and fruit. The flavor is sweet with notes of roasted malt, chocolate, and over ripe fruits, leading to a dry roasted finish.

Deep dark brown coloured body with a nice two to three centimetre tall light brown head that stays afloat for a while. Aroma of chocolate, roasted malt, light anise, a touch of grain, some softer alcohol and caramelised sugar notes with a touch of cherries, lactose, vanilla and a noticeable burn from alcohol in the very end of the nose. Full-bodied; Rich chocolate and grain flavour at first with a softer anise, licorice, oatmeal, cherry, coffee, vanilla, roasted malt and big oaky and woodsey flavour at the very end - very nice and incredibly complex. Aftertaste shows a very nice and delicate balance of alcohol, roasted malt, chocolate and caramelised sugar sweetness with a dose of vanilla, lactose and some chocolate rice cream notes at the very end - very nice with a coffee bitterness on the finish - great throughout. Aftertaste shows an amazing and very well-structured beer with a ton of complexities, a lot of great flavour profiles with a still soft finish, considering the alcohol, punch and the complexities - but a great beer and well worth the time to age this - I wish I would have kept it for another few years. Overall, a very nice Imperial Stout that would be well recommended to everyone, but I'm guessing finding this wouldn't be so easy! I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Whole Foods in Chicago (Streeterville), Illinois on 11-February-2016 for the huge US$18,99 sampled at home in Washington a bit more than three years later on 23-March-2019, well worth the time in the cellar and perhaps could have used/gained from 2-4 years more.

Bottle share at PinkZambias. Feb 19 ’17 Black with a thin tan head. Classic dark roast, some coffee and bitter chocolate. The main thing here is all the hops. A hoppy imperial stout. Very tasty.

Bottle. Pours near black with a dark brown head that dissipates to the edges. Aroma has a good amount of roasted malts with dark grains and a hint smoke underlying. Flavor has a nice slightly smokey roasted malts with some grass, dark grains and a pine bite supporting.

Thanks Huhzubendah for sharing the bottle! Poured into a taster showing taster showing pitch black with half a finger of clean white foam. The nose is earthy and hoppy. The palate is full bodied and lightly carbonated. Flavors of hoppy forwardness. Hoppy bitterness.
