22oz bottle pours a murky brown with some spitty, beige head. Nose has some plastic, fragrant chocolate, pink peppercorns, brown sugar, marzipan. Flavor follows, marzipan, plastic, burnt chocolate, some smoke, pencil lead. Full bodied finish.

Cinnamon and roast with some dust. Black pour with good head and lacing. Bittersweet finish. Thick and creamy pour. Sharp astringent finish. Easy drinking but not a ton here. Bottle shared by iphonephan.

Sample at Daily Growler UA during the "Epic 3 Year Anniversary Party + Food Truck(s)" event on 12/17/2015. Inky black color with a medium thick foamy tan head that diminishes gradually. Patchy lacing on the glass. Aroma of roast malt, dark chocolate and coffee. Full-bodied with a roasty malt and coffee character and notes of piney hops and vanilla in the background. The finish is chocolate malt up front with a hoppy aftertaste. Solid beer all around.

Pitch black, bright orange head. The aroma is hop-forward - fresh and bright citrus hops, sweet citrus, some pine. Chocolate, big sweet malts and berries. Taste: sweet chocolate with lots of zesty hops, some licorice. Full-bodied, yet not sticky and drinkable. One of the best beers I’ve had.
