Brown with a red hue and a thin head. Has a mild spice attached to it with a grainy taste.

Cask at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell. An attractive tawny colour with a cream head; carmael araoma; cinder toffee taste; and a dry, spicy finish with a hint of smoke. A good old-fashioned bitter.

Cask handpull at Metropolitan Spoons Baket Street. Mahogany colour lasting cream head. Rich malty best bitter what like we used to make before this new world threw it’s hops at us. Light milk chocolate on the aroma. It’s got a decent spicy hop finish. It’s a solid well made best bitter. Good malts.
