This is a classic English bitter, a celebration of the best of our native malt and hops. Expect a burnished copper colour, strong malty flavour with a clean lemon and spice finish.

Cask sampled @ St. Arnolds Day Beer Festival 2013, The Old Wine Vaults, Faversham. Practically clear, deep golden to amber body with a small, lacing off-white head. Quite nice, fruity aroma with a hint of caramel. Flavor is smooth malty, light fruity and moderate bitter. Medium body and aftertaste. Classic, drinkable, and a bit boring plain British bitter.

Cask at the Sussex Arms, Twickenham Green, 12/01/13. Clear dark amber with a decent off white head that retains well. Good lacing ensues. Nose is pale malts, cardboard, touch of grass, light caramel notes. Taste follows aroma - a little bland but more depth than the nose, biscuit notes, caramel. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, dry and bitter in the finish. Pretty average.

Cask at the Wyndham Arms, Salisbury. Golden amber with a thin white head; slightly musty Kentish hop aroma; zingy in the mouth with some citrus and fresh, earthy hops; and a dry and clean finish. A refreshing bitter.
