Bottle thanks to Jack at the 0-65% tasting. It pours very dark ruby with a medium tan head. The nose is Dandelion & Burdock, dark fruit...prune, plum, roasted malt, caramel/toffee and a touch of vanilla. The taste is Dandelion & Burdock, roasted malt, light sourness, medicinal aspect, plum skin, prune, grape skin, alcohol warmth, hint of vanilla and some alcohol warmth in the finish. Medium body, moderate carbonation and slightly sticky mouth-feel. Pretty tasty actually.

Bottle at the 0-65% Tasting, London - thanks to Jack for sharing. Pours dark brown with a big, beige cream head. Lightly medicinal nose, some dark malts. Medium sweet flavor with prominent wood, alcohol, lots of medicinal character, astringency, faint earth. Full bodied with fine carbonation and somewhat oily. Lightly warming to finish, still oily, some charred wood, light tangy dark malts. Very unimpressive. I like Hawkshead and expected much more.

The 0-65 tasting. Four guys, fourteen beers, average abv 12.9%, 65 mins! Think this one was Jack - cheers ears! Almost clear dark brown beer, tiny pale tan head. Smooth palate. Tangy dark malt, light and fruity - very slightly sour. Not getting huge amounts of vanilla but it smooths out the dark malt. All right. A bit more vanilla at the very end.
