On tap at the King William IV - Witterfest. Hazy amber beer, little white head. Palate is light and a little dry. Orangey hops with a mellow tequila back drop - floral and a little limey, Mild dry wood. Finishes with a little spice. The hops seem slightly suppressed for Cannonball but the Tequila Barreling is well mannered making for a very interesting and drinkable beer.

Keg at Craft, London. Pours cloudy orange with a fine, white cream head. Aroma holds a lot of dry orange, some pine and other rindy citrus. Medium sweet flavor with lots of fruit sugars, loads of ripe and dry citrus, some dry wood, grassy bitterness, some oily pine. Medium to full bodied with fine carbonation. Finishes with a fair bit of resinous hops, lots of pine and grass, some toasty pales malts, dry wood, ripe orange, mango, toasty sugars, light herbal hops. Wow, tons of nuance in here. The barrel aging seems to have added some lovely accents to the base beer. Well done.

Keg at Craft Beer Co, Clerkenwell, London. An amber coloured pour with a medium off white head on top. Pleasantly sweet, tropical fruit aroma. Tastes sweet, bitter, orange, boozy, fruity, definite tequila but done so well and almost delicate. A tasty drop from the excellent Magic Rock.

Draft at Fanø Meet the Brewer, King William IV. It pours hazy amber, with a thick off-white head. The nose is pine, sherbet, varnish, citrus, melon, pear and agave/aloe vera. The taste is pine, sherbet, dry citric notes, sweet malt backbone, caramel, agave/tequila and light booziness, with a bitter-sweet finish. Medium body, soft carbonation and slightly sticky mouth-feel. The tequila does actually come through, but thankfully it’s not overbearing. Almost like an English strong ale is some aspects. I have to admit I was worried about this one, but somehow Magic Rock have done it again... I am yet to have a below average beer from them!
