Brewed to satisfy the traditional English bitter drinkers in our own pub, ideal for those in yours. Our take on a classic English bitter: copper coloured, well balanced, malty flavours and a smooth bitter finish. Using British grown Fuggles hops for subtle flavours, enhanced with a touch of Columbus and Bobek. National Bronze award winner at the SIBA Digital Beer Awards 2020.

Very lively pour, took a few attempts to get it all in the glass without it foaming over so I assume my can took a bump. I feel like I'm damning it with faint praise in saying it's spot on as a traditional bitter. It's got a decent hop/malt blend but nothing especially remarkable even if it is pretty drinkable. It's a good example of a style you could find in any pub in England.

Can from Craft & Berry. Appearance - amber with tonnes of head. Tan to fawn in colour. Nose - brown bread or dry biscuits. A hint of toffee. Taste - light caramel, but mainly brown bread. Palate - light to medium bodied. Creamy middle that gives way quickly to a dry finish. Overall - the daily bread tastes like bread. Very apt.

440ml can from brewer. Pours cloudy brown, big frothy white head. Aroma of bread, yeast and a little spice. Taste is semi-sweet caramel, bread, nuts, spice, quite smooth. Moderate carbonation. Very good bitter.

Cask at the Southampton Arms, London on 18th July 2020. Brownish copper with virtually no foam or lace. Caramel maltiness in aroma and through the liquid pass. Nuttiness - hazelnut. A lactic touch and a few mild spices elevate the ale. Nutty malt finish. Medium bodied with a smooth mouthfeel.

From cask at Devonshire Cat, Sheffield, on trip to 24 Northern counties with OGJ 04.01.18. Clear golden amber. Persistent off-white head and lacing. Aroma and taste of pale malt and crystal malt . Moderate bitterness.

Cask gravity at Firkin Alehouse Folkestone. Clear brown colour lasting off white head. It's a brown bitter. Fruity though. It's a decent brown malty bitter. Touch of decent hop and bitterness on the finish. OK bitter

6K rate. Cask. Rising Sun, Nether Green, Sheffield. A bonus tick while the missus gets her hair cut over the road. Pale copper colour. Blotchy, dense, lasting, lacing, off white head. Nose has bread crust. Some toffee. Some leafy hop spice. Taste is light, caramel sweet, turning leafy, lightly spicy bitter. Light body. Modest carbonation. Thin bitterness to finish. Decent bitter.

Dark amber color, tiny white head. Dark fruits and caramel in the nose. Light-bodied. Light caramalt, but also dry maltyness. Barley grainy finish, light earthy hops. Uninteresting.
