All that grapey, gooseberryey, light citrusy goodness you'd expect from Nelson, with a spicey pepperiness and a clean bitterness to finish off. A clean yeast on this one, so it's all Nelson in yer face. Enjoy!

Legends speak of a time when the availability of Nelson was higher than zero. During these misty ages, Vibrant Forest, then two guys and a dog, used these magical hops to render a grape extravaganza. To this day, I, Andrew the sales and PR fellow, am still asked 'when are you getting Nelson back?'. Well, my fine friends, when you find us some fresh Nelson you can rest assured that we'll turn those glorious hops into one juicy and refreshing bastard of a brew.
Until then, have a glorious day and see you in Valhalla.

330ml bottle. Cloudy, orangey golden to amber colour with absurdely huge, frothy, osteoporosing, enough lacing, white head. Piney hoppy aroma, coniferes in general, hints of gooseberry, minimally bready malty basis, cautious hints of chlorophyll and unripe banana peel. Taste is dry hoppy, woody, piney, a touch of gooseberry, green wood, hints of grass and silage, unripe banana peel, minimally sweet biscuity-bready malty basis. There’s a remarkable gap to the ideal.

Cask at Bag O’ Nails. Pours lightly hazy gold with a white froth topping. Th aroma has nice dank Nelson character, grapefruit, melon, light pee. Lightly sweet, with more juicy melon and grapefruit, mellow grassy bitterness. Light to medium bodied with fine carbonation; great condition. Nicely balanced on the finish, with some pale bread sweetness, bright Nelson, melon, light pine, grass. A wonderful hoppy cask ale. Good hop character expression.

Cask-conditioned at the Bag O’Nails, Bristol 12/9/2015. Golden with a decent, off-white, head. Gooseberry and pineapple fruits, a touch of grassy hop, as others have suggested thin malts and a moderately dry finish. A bit underpowered but drinkable.

[500ml bottle from Sunnyside Farm Shop, Totton] Pours light amber with a negligible white head. Smells good - gooseberry, grape, kiwi. However, on taste it lacks any malt balance; it’s thin and rather bitter, tasting like cold hop tea. Overall OK.
