Mango mead with black pepper added.
Many years ago, a mysterious book was discovered by a group of friends in a Ferndale, MI basement. A translation of its contents revealed the recipe for an ancient beverage using mango juice, honey, and black pepper. What they didn’t realize was that creating the beverage had dire consequences. Stricken by fear after its compleation, the friends tried to contain the terrifying forces into this very bottle. Once opened, however, no one can say for sure if it can be conquered. Defend your soul or join us...

Undated bottle shared by Brian on 5/4/25.
This predates the name change of the beer and is still labeled Necromangocon.
Clear, pale.
Mango still present, surprisingly. Warm honey tones and no alcohol. Pepper folded in to the yeast character.
Old, stale, tired. The sulfite and sorbate ensuring the beer won't age gracefully. Flat honey sweetness with mild pepper and fruit. Very low acid. Seems it would be rather sweet when young.

Thanks Brian, aroma is mango, honey, pepper. Taste follows, not overly sweet, nice balance of capsaicin from the peppers.

0.5 l bottle shared with Patrick at the Goblet Beer Store, Zagreb. Oily pale golden. Light honey aroma, lighter honey, floral aroma, along with a mango touch. Unfortunately, flavour is mango candy and sweet honey. No trace of pepper which could've balanced it out. Sweet finish. Quite light and drinkable.

Bottle, backlog April 2014. Clear pale golden/straw yellow body without any head. Floral aroma, mild honey, some citric fruit. Taste is sweet, fruity and floral with a fine combination of honey, mango and pepper without anything steeling the show. Nice body and same aftertaste. (2022 edit: Slightly unusually for the time being but perhaps just a bit in front of their time.)

Bottle. A- Mild florals, mild honey. A- Gold color, clear liquid, no head. T- Floral, mild honey, mild black pepper, very subtle mango. P- Light body, average texture, flat carbonation, light finish. O- I've come to determine that B. Nektar is highly overrated. Not terrible but not worth the hype. I got the honey and black pepper and it came across as a nicely put together floral perfume, but little mango and just not that exciting. Actually, I say they're overrated but truthfully I think I am underrating it as I drink it longer.

Bottle from Covenhoven a few months back. Sat in the fridge for more than a bit. NB glass @ home. Clear, oily, golden elixer that plops & glugs out the bottle like apple juice. Spells like apricot potpourri & boxed apple juice. Taste is decent, but sweeter than expected. Rich mango & dried apricot with some faded pepper. Very syrupy, but the sweetness is fruity & doesn't linger too much. Too sweet for a whole bottle even at 500ml, but it isn't offensive & the flavors work.

On tap at B. Nektar, pours a clear pale blonde, no head. Aroma reveals wildflower honey and gentle mango. Flavour is refreshing, with light wildflower honey, moderate mango, and honestly no hint of the pepper. Refreshing and floral, with only gentle sweetness. Very good.
