Cask @ Gordon Arms, Bedford. Light golden with minimal head and lacing. There is a faint unconvincing aroma of citrus-scented washing up liquid and malt. The taste is bittersweet and very soapy. Not a good beer at all.

cask at cloisters ... amber ... bubbly white head ... soft dry musty orange nose ... soft mellow fruits ... soft toffee ... dull and uninteresting

Cask at the Crispin, Wokingham. Bright amber with a ring of loose white head; light, biscuity, malt aroma; light malty taste with a touch of citrus; and a dry finish. Rather light and innocuous.

Cask at the Woodman, Carshalton. It pours hazy golden yellow, with a thick white head. The nose is wood, leaf, straw, leather and citrus zest. The taste is leaf, hay, straw, lemon, wood and leather, with some dryness in the finish. Light body and soft carbonation. Clean, crisp and easy to drink. Nothing particularly wrong with it, it’s just unexciting.
