Bottle shared at the Earl of Essex, London, pre-Zwanze release. Pours cloudy yellow with a HUGE, white foam head. Big brett-esque aroma, some straw, lemon and poop. Light to medium sweet flavor with big poo character, lemony plastic, grass. Light to medium bodied with mouth-filling, massaging carbonation. Dry finish with some lemon rind. There is lots of brett and farmyard character here, but I’m not sure it’s intentional. This beer is more like a saison than an APA. Very nice, but, yeah.

Bottle at Chriso’s Easter tasting 2012. It pours golden yellow, with a thick white head. The nose is leaf, green hop, farmyard and manure. The taste is grass, resin, leaf, leather, hay, spice, wood and resin, with a bitter-dry finish. Medium body and low-moderate carbonation. Alright.

33cl bottle. Pours golden with a slim head and virtually no bubbles. The nose has floral and grapefruit. The taste has pine and grapefruit pith with just a nice hint of maltiness in the background. The palate is medium bodied and textured with a fresh finish. Overall, good scooper!

Cask at the Chelmsford Winter Beer Festival. Shared with Keen. Clear gold beer, good bubbly head. Light semi dry palate. Sweetish pale malt balances nice hops. Clementine and tangerine. Nicely joined up. Overall a sweetish pale ale but does have some mild bitter linger.
