A beer with beet juice color.
Wacko is the liquid song of summer: Crisp like the morning, cool like the evening and quenching all day long. Pop the top and set your summer loose. Wacko is a delicious summer beer with a big malty aroma, a subdued hop bite and a clean, slightly sweet finish.

Draft at Jimmy the Greek’s, OOB, Maine. Pours a red haze. Short layer of head. Smell is quite subtle, mostly hints of an amber lager. Some strong malt character, Hops are subtle, I really don’t get much of the beets at all. Other then the red color, i wouldn’t guess beets at all. Not a great beer, but not terrible either. Slightly below average.

12 oz. bottle, $1 loose @ Binnys. Pours a pilsener color with reddish overtones; that beet juice the label mentions. Short layer of foam. Smell is quite subtle, mostly hints of an amber lager. Some strong malt character, I’m thinking Vienna mostly. Very light suggestions of V8 Juice. Hops are subtle, I’m again guessing English and German. Not that bad, perfectly well made, but I need to say, "so what?"

This vegetable ??? beer poured a light pinkish red colour with a bright white, fast living head. To the nose there are scents of corn, rubarb, sweet malt and fruit juice. First smell of it was a typical white bread lager...e.g. bud, miller...etc. But under a good whiff I came up with other scents. The first sip was very thin and watery with a sharp flavour towards the end thats bordering on glue? Gasoline? Turpintine? Not good whatever it is. This mess almost shouldn’t be called beer, its so out there.

Pours deep clear gold with slight rosy hue and adequate white head. The aroma is mild with semi sharp dusty red apple skins, spice and a sense of grainy malts. The high level of carbonation thrusts up notes of berry fruit and tannin tart red apples. The fruit tart-dusty-sourness grows into the finish making for an unpleasant experience.

Red with pink foam. It looks like a fruit beer. But no fruit presence. Lightly sweet grain, bread, and minimal hops. This beer offers nothing but an unusual appearance.

Pours a clear raspberry color with white head. Nose is berry, pine and hops. Taste is berry, malts and hops. Not much to it.

Bottle as shown. Pours a cloudy off pink with a medium creamy off white head that lasts awhile leaving sticky lacing. The aroma is a sweet corn malt and cherry. Thin mouthfeel and a bit watery with a sweet malt and beet flavor, what were they thinking, who likes beets? Not too much going on with this one.

bottle pours pink with a tall white head. Aroma is soapy with a medicinal fruit note. Flavor is clean pale malts, some sweetness in the form of artificial sweetener.

Draft at Northern Virginia BrewFest. Wow, there are some terrible reviews recently here. I actually found this one pretty refreshing in the hot sun. It poured a pinkish/orange color, with a small white head. Pretty much fruity, lager flavor. Nothing to call home about - certainly for the more casual beer drinker. I think it succeeds in what it was going for.
