Bottle on 10/04/2009 from Once Upon a Vine - South. Cloudy orange body with a large creamy tan head. Big wheat aroma with some slight banana, clove, caramelization and fruit. Big wheat, caramel and fruit flavor with noticeable alcohol presence and some slight perfumy notes. Full body with a thick creamy mouthfeel and moderately low carbonation.

Bottle: Poured a slightly hazy golden color ale with a large frothy head with great retention and good lacing. Aroma of sweet malt with some nice bubblegum notes. Taste is a very nice mix between some bubblegum ester with some nice notes of wheat malt with some nice balance between sweetness and and the esters. Body is slightly fuller then average with a nice creamy texture and great carbonation with no signs of alcohol. Very well done and less harsh then most other wheat wine I have tried before.

Sampled on tap at Churchkey in Washington DC. Ugh, what a boozy mess. Pours a translucent amber with zero head and legs like a scotch. Aroma is bready, some dried banana, grass, raisins, grapes. Flavor was more banana, weird caramel, spices, boozy, rum. Finish is hot, sticky, too sweet. Just a boozy mess.

Bottle thanks to blutt59. Pours with a fading white head over a hazy golden body. Aroma of cherry, raisins, caramel and alcohol. Taste is alcohol, cherry, sherry and hot, hot, hot with alcohol. Creamy and big mouthfeel. Needs some time to mellow.

Sampled from a 12 oz brown bottle this beer poured a hazy orange-amber color with a large orange-beige head. The aroma was sweet, sugary and very fruity with notes of strawberry, apple and caramel. The flavor was strongly sugary with strong notes of apple, pineapple, citrus and candied ginger and light undertones of dry spices. There was a whole lot going on with this one and flavors really cascaded as the flavors lingered on the finish. The body was thick and full. Some alcohol did show through. Awesome.

Rich banana and lemon nose. Orange amorphous pour with floating chunks, no head. Full bodied, alcohol evident. Banana and orange flavor, Triple Sec at midpalate, lemon grass finish. Neat transitions. A bit too volatile.

This beer pours a hazy dark orange-amber color with a medium off-white head that recedes steadily. Rings of lacing on the glass. Aroma of toasted malt, wheat and a touch of spice. Medium, clean body with flavors of malt, wheat, spices and grassy hops. The finish is wheaty with a lingering malt and nut aftertaste. Decent overall.

bottle, pours a bright blood orange with a medium off white head. Nice honey, yeast, and wheat spice nose. Wow, what a nice sweet honey and wheat body. Hints of lightly toasted malts and nuttyness, but overall very clean and sweet. Mild hop bitterness with spicing in a lingering finish. Crisp carbonation. Superb.
