500ml bottle from Beer Hawk - Amber body, a bit cloudy through the sediment, white frothy head. Nose was a light citrus, barley sugar, sweet. Taste was nice and refreshing to start with, but as it progressed it got a bit boring. Not too bad.

Cask at the Back of Beyond (JDW), Reading. Pale amber with a thin white head; muted grainy aroma; smooth in the mouth with some orangey fruit; and a dry biscuity finish with some light spices. Little sign of any hops though - I don’t see how they’ve got the nerve to call this an IPA.

The ale has a deep bitterness with the slightest of a fruity kick in its aftertaste.

Half pint, cask ale at Lass 0’ Gowrie. Tiny patches at the surface of a copper coloured body. Smell of resin-like hops. The taste profile is a mixed bag of resin, apricot and mid-sweet malts finishing off with a bitter support. Oily palate. Well balanced and well bodied. Good (Manchester, 07.07.2012).

@ Bow, Edinburgh. Brown colour. Brassy, lightly caramelly malt nose. Caramel notes. Light hop - tobaccoey if anything. Fairly uneventful.
