500ml bottle from Morrisons (Barnard Castle). Drank in my mate Terry's caravan on 4th March 2026. Bright mahogany amber/brown body, off white roof. Malty, nutty, earthy and woody. Liked it.

Notater fra Furuveien, sammen med Petro og Per: klar rødllig kastanjefarge med fint skum som varer. "Kaffe!" utbryter baristaen, og i tillegg kjenner jeg ristet brød, mørke karameller, kjeks og urter. Deilig ettersmak.

Bottle from Northumbrian Gifts. Pours a clear amber-brown with small off-white head. Aroma of sweetness, toffee, touch of brown bread crust. Very malty taste - brown bread, toffee, nuts, brown sugar, bitter hops, resin. Light to medium body, creamy, slight dryness. Decent.

Sample courtesy of Grumbo, cheers Graham! Amber brown colour, thin white foam rim and aroma of malt, bready, roasty. Taste is malty, roasted, bread, with some earthy bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, bitter finish. OK

16/6/2022. Cask at the 30th East Anglian Beer & Cider Festival, Bury St Edmunds. Pours clear dark amber brown with minimal head. Aroma of malt, prune, toasted bread, stewed fruits, slight twiggy edge. Medium sweetness, light bitterness, touch tart. Moderate body, oily and watery, soft carbonation. Stewed veg finish. Wasn’t the best.

Bottle from Northumbrian Gifts. Appearance - deep amber with a slightly off white head. Nose - dirty/burnt toffee. Malt loaf. Taste - malt loaf, then toffee going into molasses. Palate - medium bodied. Creamy sweet body and finish. Overall - hoped for some hazelnuts as well as the toffee on a brown ale. And possibly a slightly clearner note on the finish.

Tight off white head stayed on a toffee coloured still body. Malt & spice aroma. Medium bodied, soft & smooth over the tongue with a lively sharp back. Sweet, malt & berries on the front with bitter tangy back. Sessionable

Cask-conditioned at the Waiting Room, Durham 21 June 2018. Copper in colour, with a slight, off-white, head. Easy drinking brown ale, with some sugar, gentle maltiness and touch of red berry fruit. Fine.
