A very pale golden ale with subtle grapefruit and spice aroma, leading to a long crisp bitter finish. Very refreshing.

Cask at Victoria Inn, Derby. Pours a hazy pale straw with minimal white head and good lacing. There’s some light floral hops in the aroma plus hints of generic citrus. In the mouth there is a slight sweetness initially before sharpness of mixed hops comes through. Flavour has caramel and grains too plus some hints of berry fruits. Not bad – just a little dull.

Cask at the Pup and Duckling, Solihull. Poured a clear golden colour with a mostly lasting frothy white head and some clingy lace. The aroma is malt, light woody hops. The flavour is over moderate bitter, with a smooth, malt, light lychee, light herbal, light floral hop bitter palate and a long bitter finish. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.

Sample thanks to Grumbo: Poured a hazy yellow orange with a white frothy head. Aroma is citrus, sulfur, light hops. Taste is bitter forward, citrus, fruity, lingers around the mouth.

19/1/2021. Bottle bought direct from the brewery, part of a mixed selection case they advertised on fb. 4.0% abv. Pours bright straw gold with a small off-white head. Aroma is fruity, citrus, hoppy, sweet malt, grass, biscuit. Moderate sweetness, medium bitterness. Medium body, oily texture, average carbonation. Nice bittersweet finish. Second enjoyable beer from this brewer box.

Cask ale at Kings Head in Leicester. Shared with Finn and jjsint. Clear dark golden body, bubbly white head laeving spotty lacing on the glass. Retrained smell of citrus. Canned fruity flavours backed by notes of biscuit. Short bittersweet endnotes. Average, more or less. (10.02.2019).

Handpull cask at the King's Head with Rune and Finn. Golden, clear with a thin filmy white head. Hay, grainy butterscotch aroma. Taste is bittersweet with noticeable bittering hop in the clean finsh. Flat carbonation but the mouthfeel is pleasantly full. Not great but certainly drinkable enough.

500ml bottle from Co-Op somewhere near Swadlincote. Didn’t get much in the way of zesty, spicy, grapefruit flavours here. What little I did get focused on a malty, chewy bitterness and grains. In all, nothing spectacular.
