[ As Gigantic Too Much Coffee Man ].Clear dark red brown color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, coffee - dusty coffee, mocha. Flavour is moderate to heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, vegetables, coffee, sweet malt - brown sugar. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. [20140830]

Draft @ Hoppy Loft. Brune foncée, col fin beige. Arôme est subtil au niveau café avec un malté fort prononcé surtout au niveau de cette impression de grains concassés. Palais est léger en café, malt grillé, roast, épais en bouche avec une pointe d’amertume des houblons mais aussi des grains de café- fine note épicée. Impression de ce café froid, fini houblonné sec. Le nom de la bière est décevant, et on retrouve un nombre important de bières au café qui font mieux que cette dernière.

15 cl. tasting glass @ Delirium Hoppy Loft. Blackish dark brown, small creamy mocha head. Herbal mocha, grains, powdery, touch vegetable coffee; Bitter cold herbal coffee taste, light grains, grass, touch bitter in the back. Grainy, chocolate body. Okay but a coffee beer can & should be way better than this. Nice name ‘though. Also this is supposed to be a saison? Even with people labelling anything & everything a saison, the term strikes me as really out of place here.

On tap @ Beer Temple, taster size. Deep dark color (not quite black). Dense beige head with reasonable retention. Aroma’s: chocolate, some red fruit, some mocha. Retronasal it’s fruit, roasted malts, light sourness, light sweet. Flavor is moderate sweet. Medium bodied. Finishes ashy, moderate bitter.

Keg at Mikkeller Bar, Stockholm. Ruby/black, miniscule head. Rich coffee aroma. Sweetish and fruity, medium-full body, clean, rounded mouthfeel. Espresso with mineral water and syrup. Slight coffee bitterness. Never takes off. I prefer my coffee without sugar.

Tap at the Beer Temple, Amsterdam. Poured a deep mahogany with a thin off white broken tan head. The aroma is rich roasted malt light creamy caramel. The flavour is strong bitter with a rich roasted malt, red berry fruit, alcohol bitter light coffee palate. Medium to full bodied with soft carbonation and a long bitter finish. Didn’t really get the coffee!
