12th April 2010. Clear amber - gold beer. Tiny white head. Low carbonation and a light dry palate. Good orange citrus with a touch of spice and a drop of lemon too. Oakham always do citrus flavours well!

[Gravity cask at Back of Beyond, Reading] Amber. Sweet orangey fruit balanced by a good hoppy bitterness. A decent bitter, but not the outstanding effort you would expect from Oakham. Having said that, my friend referred to it as a "dirty beer" that had attempted to rape him, so obviously there was a bit of oomph somewhere that I failed to pick up!

Cask at Henley on Thames Wetherspoons. An amber coloured pour with a lasting off white head. Hoppy/fruity aroma. Tastes hoppy, grapefruit, citrus fruit. Refreshing typical Oakham. A nice drop.

Cask-conditioned at the Kings Head (JDW), Monmouth 8/04/10. Pale amber with a decent, tight off-white head. Big, citrus hops, balance by a touch of sweet malts, with a long dry finish. Excellent.

Cask handpull at Thomas Ingoldsby, JDW, Canterbury. Amber, lasting ivory head. Oakham and Amarillo hops in a beer? You might think that I like this. Yes I do. Proper hop. Towards the end of a barrel I think. Not perfect condition lots of pulling through of the beer. Could be better than what I have already.

Cask at the Old Manor (JDW), Bracknell. Gold with a thin cream head; malty aroma; rich creamy malts with a trace of caramel; then a dry citrusy finish. A very well put together bitter.
