Opaque dark brown beer with good tan head. Palate is airy and dry. Dry and bitter dark malt. Bitter coffee and a bitter hops. Dry finish. Bitter roasty burned aftertaste. What a disappointment. Tiny bit of malt cream. Bitter licorice. A harsh beer!

Bottle 375ml.Clear dark brown black colour with a average to large, frothy - creamy, good lacing, fully lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, roasted, light molasses, moderate hoppy, wood, alcohol - bourbon, light honey. Flavour is light heavy sweet and moderate bitter with a long duration, chocolate, alcohol, wood, malt bitter, honey, dry. Body is medium, texture is oily and sticky, carbonation is soft. [20130515]

Smell of coffee and tar. Very dark brown colour with dark brown head. Aroma of coffee, tar, licorice, cough mixture, alcohol, oak. Heavy and rather oily texture. Surprisingly lively carbon. Sweet and medium bitter.

Huge, dark tan head, dense & stable, over virtually black beer. Coffee, hops, exotic fruit, Bourbon. Bitter, coffee, chocolate in the finish. Bourbon & vanilla obvious, also in the finish predominantlly. Quite complex, more than the pure description would led to believe. Quite slick; viscous, lots of alcoholheat. Nice, complex, rewarding, if not a real revelation.

Smak och doft av torkad mörk frukt som russin och plommon, choklad, farinsocker, bourbon, trä med toner av vanilj och honung. Välbalanserad, trevlig eftersmak, lagom söt, fruktig och komplex med en god bitterchoklad beska. Skulle lätt kunna lagras många år framöver.

Bottle @ Christers. Pours pitch black with a creamy light brown head. Aroma of roasted malt, coffee, caramel, honey, bourbon, dark chocolate, woodnotes. Flavor is very sweet with roast malts, honey, caramel, bourbon, chocolate, booze. Medium body, lively carbonation, warming alcohol. 030713

Bottle @ Aarhus tasting. Black with a small dark brown head. Aroma is sweet, roasted malt, honey and bourbon. Flavor is very sweet and very bitter. Dry and very bitter finish with warming alcohol. Prickly carbonation. 030713

Bottle. Nice creamy head with excellent duration. Color is black. Aroma and taste are bourbon, vanilla, wood, chocolate, roast malt, coffee, caramel and hops. Nice and smooth.
