375ml bottle. Black colour with late awakening, small to average, creamy, half-way lasting, minimally lacing, brown head. Dark malty aroma with BA notes, vanilla, treacle. Taste is dry dark malty, hints of roast, dark chocolate, leather, minimally sweet honey notes flash up in between; some warming, minimally burning alcohol in the finish.

On tap @ Mikkeller & Friends. Pours cloudy very dark brown with stable tan head. Dark aroma of malt, caramel and roasted coffee beans. Sweet, alty inset, replaced by intense roasty notes, ending sweet with discernible touches of honey and warming alcohol presence. Good.

37,5 cl bottle @ Timo A, BBE 11.12.2022
Aroma is a bit odd and light with rubber and honey. Flavour has stinging whiskey, vanilla, salty licorice, wood and peaty notes. Honey in the background. Heavy stuff, too strong on whiskey.

Synthetic cork; bb 11/12/22
Black color with medium sized brownish head. The aroma is powerful, balanced and complex; fine roasted malts, oak, dark chocolate, a touch of liquorice, followed by some dark fruits. Full bodied, but also with too high alcohol perception; the flavor is essential roasted malt, without richness, without dark chocolate, with some tobacco and liquorice, strong bitterness.
Boozy and uncomplicated, expensive.

375ml bottle from Bierkompass

Pours pitch black with a small light brown head. Aroma of sweet roasted malts, licorice, hints of smoke, ash, honey and stingy bourbon notes. Taste is roasted, carbonated and sugary with notes of syrup, hints of bourbon, wood and honey. Finish is syrupy, roasty and sweetish with notes of licorice, wood and hints of honey. Okay, quite good imperial stout.

375mL bottle, pours black with a medium tan head. Aroma is complex, bringing out notes of bourbon barrels, roasted malt, honey and caramel - wonderful balance. Flavour follows accordingly, with a good balance of bourbon notes, a solid roasted malt base, honey, caramel and even a bitter hoppy character. Finishes woody and somewhat astringent, either from the hops of the high roast content. Very well-balanced, with no jagged edges. Excellent stuff.

375 ml corked green bottle, kindly shared by our beerpal Ole Anders. Pitch black colour, large to moderate tan head. Interesting aroma of roasted malts, honey and exotic woods. Solid roasty flavour, bitter finish. I’m getting slightly drunk ...

Bouteille 375ml.
