Son goût est remarquable, léger et conjugué avantageusement sur un ton à la fois modestement sucré et fruité, laissant en bouche une impression rafraîchissante comme on en redemande.

Bottle from Bier Temple in Brussels. Pours dark amber with a foamy beige head. Light aroma of roast caramel. A hint of fruit. Medium body with a foamy carbonation. Flavor is rather caramel with slightly sour fruit. It is mildly bitter. Not exactly my idea of saison, but I guess the bell curve has a wide span.

Pours almost clear amber with a lacy beige head. Aroma is like a nutty malty cider. There’s some sour yeasty funky, but this leans towards malty sweetness. Lots of autumnal apples and some light sweet shop spices. Quaffable with some mystery.

330ml bottle from Vinmonopolet. Almost clear, amber coloured body. Slowly sinking, off-white head leaving two rings of lace behind. Sweet aroma of bread and toffee malts. Sweet malts in flavour joined by lighter dry notes from herbs and yeast. Semi-tart fruits, but not enough to counter all the sweetness. Half-way pleased (Tromsø, 16.02.2010).

[Bottle at the Bootleggers, High Wycombe] Copper-brown with a large off-white head. Fresh and fruity with mint and thyme. Sweet caramel malts behind. Feels alive and full of the joy and laughter of kids running through an alpine meadow or picking the first sweet fruits in a summer orchard. But in liquid form, obviously. I loved this beer.

Tap at Max’s. Copper color. Aroma of peanuts and creme brulee. Sweet flavor, lots of caramel, nutty edge. Strange but not terrible.

Flaske 0,33l kjøpt på Vinmonopolet i Tromsø. Gylden brun på farge. Litt skyet. OK kremaktig skum som fester seg til glasset. Sterk søtlig aroma av karamell. Smaken er veldig søt. Uvariert. Litt fruktig bitterhet i ettersmaken. Etterlater en smak av karamell.

Pours light copper with a small fading head.Aroma shows toasty and nutty malt, some cola, light spices and treacle. Quite malty, and very different to other saisons I’ve tried.Flavours echo the aromas with loads of toasty malt, almost approaching lightly roasted. Very light bitterness. Hints of honey. The carbonation is too high in my opinion.

33cl Bottle from Achelse Kluis, ABV 5%. Clear amberbrown colour, off white head. Aroma of grape juice, sweet red fruits, even a bit cassis-like, malts, a bit of dust and chai spices. Flavour is brown sugar, sweet, some dark fruits, red grapes/raisins, very malty. Light bodied, soft mouthfeel. Very light sourness in the finish, mostly just very sweet, too sweet actually, almost has some Dutch Oud Bruin qualities. Lacks the dryness that makes other saisons stand out.

bottle from somewhere in Gent - Pours amber-orange with a one finger off-white head. It has a mild aroma of malt and yeast. The flavor is mainly sweet caramel malt and had me immediately thinking, they call this a saison? Seriously? This light to medium bodied brew is an okay if below average Belgian ale, but I’m not getting saison characteristics
