Once a year we receive the latest crop of hops from the US, intensely aromatic and bursting with potential they’re begging to be put to work. With three times the quantity of hops of our explosive IPA ‘Cannonball’ and even more than our flagship Double IPA ‘Human Cannonball’ we’ve created a fitting tribute to the new hop release with this our annual homage to the hop. ‘Un-Human Cannonball ‘takes IPA to another dimension-balancing massive citric aroma, deep tropical fruit flavour and gravity defying drinkability to deliver a hop experience that is out of this world. We’ve done our best for the hops, don’t let them down by ageing this beer: please drink as soon as Un-Humanly possible!

(Draught at Oliver Twist, Stockholm, 3 June 2017) Hazy amber colour with brief, off-white head. Malty, hoppy nose with notes of citrus, grapefruit, mandarin, resin and a touch of alcohol. Malty, fruity taste with citrus, orange peel, marmalade, apricots, caramel and a finish with a generous citric/resiny bitterness and a warming alcohol glow. Full body, with a certain sweetness. Neither shy nor subtle, but fairly well balanced for its strength, and with a generous hop profile backed up by lots of malt. Very nice.

Keg, one-third pint, at Hunter & Sons. Film-type layer, oily lacing, opaque orange coloured body. Succulent fruity smell, grapefruit and pine. Rich taste of citrus, juicy malts, and pineapple. Warming mid-sweet fruity bitterness to the finish. Well bodied. Tasty stuff. (Bath 03.05.2017).

500ml can from indiecraftbeer.co.uk. Murky orange gold colour with a white foam head and aroma of juicy tropical fruit, mellow citrus, hop resins. Taste is malt caramel balanced against mango, spicy orange zest, grapefruit, pine, resinous hop bitterness. Medium bodied, soft carbonation, dry tangy boozy bitter finish. Nicely drinkable DIPA.

Malmö Taproom. Ljus lätt grumlig. Doftar Åhh persika, lite vita vindruvor . Oj mycket krämig och fyllig i munnen. Relativt söt med perfekt beska. Lågt kolsyrad som framhäver smaker av hallonbåtar och liknande godisar. Perfekt balanserad . Rikigt jävla bra Nää MS detta är ingen New England så den passar dig.

Can from The Bottle Shop Bermondsey and drunk at home. £9 for a 50cl can. Cloudy golden orange colour lasting white head. Big fruity aroma as I poured it. Some dank hop on the aroma. Pink grapefruit. In the mouth yes it has big hop. Hides ABV well. Some heat on the finish I suppose. Some tangerine on the finish. A little hot. A little over carbonated. Dank yes. Hoppy yes. Some bitterness yes. Do I like it? Not at nine quid a pop no. It’s ok if you like this dank hop thing, of which I am not a fan. If I want dankness I’ll go smell my bin store. OK I suppose. Enjoyable to an extent.

29-04-17 // 500ml can shared at Le Petit Belge, Wiesbaden. Thanks Zwiebel88! Hazy golden yellow beer. Nose is aggressive hops, fresh hops, fruity. Taste is aswell agrresive in the hop aromatic and intenstiy, strong bitter finish with loads of fruitiness, fruit salad on the tongue, citric aromas, grapefruit. Great beer.
