Bottle from Drinks Vanuxeem, Ploegsteert, Belgium. Pours a hazy amber colour with a large thick foamy off white head. Aromas of oranges, apricots, caramel and nuts. Taste has more full on citrusy notes with lots more oranges and apricots, more caramel, hints of nuts and an orange peel hoppy bitterness lingering on the finish. Thin to medium body, fairly low carbonation and a smooth slightly oily mouthfeel. Nice hoppy beer with a tangy bite.

Amber with a big, frothy head. Aroma of fermenting oranges and fruit candy. A bit floral at times. Taste is bitter with hints of resin and a low acidity. Medium-bodied, moderate carbonation. Not challenging but not very welcoming either. Ok.

33cl bottle. Pours hazy blonde, with fine white foam. Aroma is fruity and citrus. Body is average, with a mouthful of soft carbonation. Taste is medium-high sweet, with decent underlying bitterness, for a fairly dry final.

Cette Bella Mère a son caractère. Blonde houblonnée à 37 d'IBU, son amertume paraît plus vive car notamment appuyé par une légère aigreur qui lui donne à certains instants une touche d'Orval. L'ensemble est bien maîtrisé l'ensemble des composantes s'équilibrant bien. Le visuel est sur un blond orangé voilé, une effervescence soutenue et une mousse blanc cassé nappant juste la surface. Le nez présente de base ce duo amertume/légère aigreur avec des arômes de pomme, poire, orange et herbes parsemés de légères épices. L'attaque présente une petite acidité mais surtout une belle amertume ainsi qu'une bonne complexité aromatique sur la pêche, le pamplemousse, la pomme, le poivre, les herbes et un léger miel. La deuxième bouche, tout comme l'arrière bouche présente une amertume racée prenant l'ascendant, avec une légère astringence. Le final retrouve une belle alliance malt/houblon sur le duo amertume/légère aigreur avec une bonne complexité. L'alcool à 6,5 % est pour sa part performant. Cette Bella Mère est une belle réalisation, très intéressante dans sa construction et qui mérite une deuxième dégustation pour être bien appréhendée.

Bottle @ home. Orange blonde color, hazy. Flowery, citric hops and tangerine in the aroma. Firm hopbitter flavor with mandarine curacao, grass, cardemom and coreander. Slightly perfumed and spicy. Tangerine and some flowery bitterness in the aftertaste.
