Cloudy/hazy yellow gold with a bubbly white head and a slightly yeasty fruit aroma, I’m getting grapes maybe? Lovely bitterness and fruit balance, with a long dry finish

Hazy gold beer, small white head. Palate is light and crisp. Mild minerals. Smooth malts bring light sweetness and a trace of cream. Hops are a very nice combo of mild pine, orange and orange pith. The orange turns sweeter before a mild grapefruit kicks in and introduces mellow bitterness. Light finish and mellow orange pith linger. Hangs together very well. Just one of those Kernels that sings.

Bottle @ home. Hazy yellow-golden color, medium sized white head. Incredibly hoppy fruity aroma that almost makes you think you’re drinking some kind of fruit juice. I love it: grapefruit, oranges, mandarin, mango, melon, lovely. Taste is as good as perfect for this style of beer: nicely hoppy but not so much it becomes an IPA, nicely bitter but again not so much it becomes an IPA and most importantly, not so much that it dominates the hoppyness and fruityness. Again lots of fruit, basically the same as I got in the aroma: grapefruit, oranges, mandarin, mango, melon. All this mixed with hops and a suitable bitterness. Incredibly refreshing. Suitable body and carbonation. Probably the best pale ale I have ever tasted so far.

Bottle. Beer Central, Sheffield. Straw colour. Light haze. Messy, sticky, white head. Unusual aroma to this. Peach stone? Cut privet? Some vegetal earthiness. Taste is light sweet, with some fruity dryness, before a more recognisable, Kernel fresh, bitterness kicks in. Medium body. Soft carbonation. Dry, long bitter finish. There’s a distinct aroma in there, that I can’t put my finger on, and is a bit odd.
