Bottle @ home. Has no exp date on the bottle. Great clear golden colour with a nice head. Smells quite herbal, dusty, barn. Tastes sweet, malty, herbs. Medium body, soft carbo.

Bottle at barely legal tasting room . Pours clear blonde, good yet fast fading white head . Smell is sweet , grainy, perfumed . Taste is grains, sharp bitterness ( not hoppy though ) , perfumed ( almost soapy ) . Overcarbonated ( explaining the loud pop when opening the bottle ) . Not impressed , sorry ...

The last beer Achilles made before it became a beer company. Irregular, off-white, quite stable head, colour of ’old gold’ with tiny yeast particles floating around, fully clouded after adding the deposit, nice sparkling. Aroma of apricot, strawberry, orange, cookies, grass and a hint of tonic water. Fresh fruity onset, citrussy, medium carbonation, mineral-like, lean and supple mouthfeel, pale and light caramel malts, firm aromatic and herbal hoppiness in the finish without becoming really bitter, but refined and delicate. Biggest downside: alcohol is noticeable, which shouldn’t be the case in an ale just over 6% ABV.

6/IV/14 - 33cl bottle from Willems (Grobbendonk) @ Akke's place, Ronde van Vlaanderen marathon - BB: 25/X/14 (2014-344)

Clear golden blond beer, huge off-white head, pretty stable, bit adhesive. Aroma: very spicy, quite some orange peel, bit sweet, honey, floral and grassy notes, some hay, fruity touch. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: malty touch, some citrus, bit of alcohol, sourish, floral touch, spicy, coriander. Aftertaste: orange peel, spicy, coriander, bit floral, some alcohol, bit of a metallic bitterness. Way better than expected!

33cl bottle: BBD of 23 Aug 2013, poured slowly into an ’Augustijn’ chalice on 13 Jun 2013. Good golden body, clean and clear: full and deep foam covering on top. Took a while before the head turned into a thinner blanket and then a wisp and collar. More hops in the aroma than most Belgian beers, peachy and fairly floral in nature. The taste was also hop fronted, with a sweet fruit following close behind. Slight yeast feel to the flavours with the alcohol also being noticeable in the mouth. OK, if a little sweet for such a light beer (in ABV and colour).
