Pannepøt (read Pannepeut) is a beer specially brewed and named as a wink to the Danish market presented at the Danish beer festival ’Københavnske Øldage 2006’ exclusively at Ølbutikkens stand. It is produced to express the brewers gratitude to all the Danish beer amateurs that drink their products daily. Pannepøt has later been available on draught and bottles at bars and shops in Belgium & Denmark. Since winter 2006, this beer’s popularity kept growing in Belgium at such a level that the production today equals Pannepot.

15th June 2008. Dark brown cloudy beer. A hybrid of pronounced bubblegum sweetness offset by a rich creamy malt with a hint of chocolate. Dry bubblegummy finish. Unusual.

33cl bottle at home. 2007 in a white box on the label. dark brown, large smooth creamy thick light brown head. supersmooth. 4+ mild aroma of raisins, sweet malts, dark fruits, candi sugar. flavor is sweet, spicy, raisins, dark fruits, good alc. punch , throat burning, faint sweet malts. you can´t really taste the alc, only feel it. this one you can’t drink quick, it’s a sip by sip experience. very nice belgian.

33cl Bottle from De Bierkoning, vintage 2007. Deep dark brown colour, initially big light beige head. Aroma is very malty, dark fruits, some marzipan and cherries. Flavour is sweet, malty, raisins, liquorice, a hint of spices. Fullbodied, smooth and creamy mouthfeel. Even better than Pannepot imho, reminded me a lot of St. Bernardus Abt. Good, very good.

The bottle looks really good, the beer in the glass also. Starts strong-malty, not roasty, notes of liquorice and marzipan. A bit spicy finish, well balanced and warming. Really good beer! Thanks to Bierkoning for the bottle!
