Throughout Northern Europe, light-bodied, well-hopped, low alcohol table beers were often the beverage of choice with all meals at times and in places where the water wasn’t always safe to drink. Le Petit Prince is a dry, unspiced, highly attenuated Farmhouse Table Beer unique to our land in the Texas Hill Country. Naturally occurring wild yeasts impart a sense of place to this unfiltered, unpasteurized, 100% naturally conditioned ale.
Admin Note: In October 2013 Jester King began brewing this beer using indigenous wild yeast and souring bacteria. All bottles/cans from Batch 11 onward should be under this rating.

1 pt 9.4 fl oz bottle, Batch #20. Hazy yellow gold colour, white foam head leaving lacing and funky fruity citric rind aroma. Taste is funky, pale malt, grainy, with citrus rind, fruity, banana, yeasty notes. Light bodied, soft carbonation, dry funky tangy sourish finish. Quite drinkable

Bottle shared at Lucky Bamboo share. Thanks Mike! Pours a clearish, bright (almost neon) straw color with a finger of foam that lingers. Lemon zest, hay, straw and barnyard notes permeate the nose. Crisp and light on the palate, with bright lemon zest and hay. Nice mineral, limestone notes as well. Lingering hay, mineral and lemon zest. Really complex for the abv.

Taster pour at Mikkeller Bar, L.A. Appearance is clear, straw yellow with fair sparkle, thin cap of white head and nice lacing. Aroma is barnyard funk and tart. Taste is as aroma with more barnyard than aroma. Palate is light bodied with thin texture, soft carbonation and dry, tart finish. Overall, they excelled at capturing the barnyard and didn't go too sour, but not my favorite style.

750ml bottle scooped up in Decorah. Filtered yellow-tan body. Foamy, frothy, steady, white head. Funky barnyard notes. Delicate and light on the palate. A great table beer. Faint lemon lime. Real simple, sublime. Great beer.
