Tap at Oersoep festival. Clear light golden with bubbly white head. Sweet grains, syrupy, baby puke, yoghurt, almonds, tonic, dry leafy herbs, dry white wine. Very sweet with herbal bitter finish. Full bodied. Has lots of white wine character, unusual stuff.

Bottle share gathering at Bruce’s. Hazy pale gold beer, tiny white head. Palate is light and semi dry, good fine carbonation. Floral lemon, sweetish. Nice yuzu tangerine - grapefruit - lime. Mild savoury note. Floral lemon comes back and closes out. Lightly spicy linger. Interesting and certainly tasty and different.

Bottle shared at Bruce’s place. Many thanks to Kenny for this one. Aroma is unusual, vanilla, custard, wine, grapey fruit. Flavour is composed of unusual custard, semi sweet and sour, straw, sake, little oak. Palate is semi sweet, moderate carbonation, quite viscous. Very unique beer.

Bottle split at Bruce’s, thanks to Kenny, 06/03/15. Hazed orange with moderate off white edgeing. Nose is herbal, bitter orange, sprucey wood shavings, spice, light menthol. Taste comprises much sweeter tones than the aroma suggested, tangy yuzu notes, herbal, light booze, bitter citric peel. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close. Strange one this - lacks any real depth for the ABV and not particularly well joined up. Pass!

Bottle shared in London - big thanks to Kenny. Pours unclear gold with a frothy white head. The nose holds lots of white grape, doughy white bread. Big sweet flavor with some tangerine meringue, more doughy white bread, melon, bubblegum. Full bodied with fine carbonation. Sugary finish with lots of sweet melon, more white grape, doughy white bread. Interesting.

Bottle thanks to Ken. It pours lightly hazy golden-orange with minimal head. The nose is sweet, juicy, fresh lemony sherbet, yuzu, tangerine, white rice, icing sugar and umami. The taste is bitter-sweet, juicy, yuzu, so sweet, candy, sugary lemonade, glutinous rice, mochi and icing sugar with a dry, sweetish finish. Medium body and moderate carbonation. A bit too sweet if truth be told. Interesting...

750 ml bottle. Beer Central, Sheffield. Clear, dark yellow, gold. No head. Stewed, dessert apple. Crystallised orange and lemon fruits. Sweet, buttery, granary bread. There’s some of the promised savoury, salty tartness in there, but it’s mostly the fruit sweetness to the fore. Taste is chewy sweet, light dry, and light savoury. Palate is soft, unctuous, a bit gluey, and a bit boozy. Finishes sweet, slightly savoury, with some vanilla infused, fruity, spirit booziness. Full on. Very enjoyable. Definitely an after dinner beer, mind.

Keg at the hanging bat. Pours hazy pale gold. Near still carbonation. Aromas are near-cider tartness, white wine. Taste is more dry white wine than beer. I get the sake-ness, but sake is not my favourite drink.
