Brewed since 1985. It is a top fermentation beer with refermentation in the bottle. Color: dark red-brown beer. Taste: very subtle taste, mixture of fruit, herbs and caramel flavor without one of them becoming predominant with a slightly bitter aftertaste.

Bottle @ home, shared with my dad. Nice dark brown / amber color with a red glare coming through. Smell malts, grains and some sweetness. Taste some sourness, malts and also some sweet (sugar?) hints. Unbalanced imo. Soft carbo, medium body.

(bottle, 33cl, as Drongens Plezierke, 7.5% abv, bought at Willems, Grobbendonk) Cloudy, dark amber to brown colour with a mid-sized tanned foamy head. Moderately sweet, slightly cara-malty aroma with notes of citrus and spicy, nettle-like hops. Mildly sweet flavour with a tinge of bitterness, medium bodied with a pleasantly carbonated mouthfeel. Malty, slightly caramelly taste with underlying citrus-fruity and mildly spicy accents; moderately sweet and slightly bitter finish with fruity and spicy hops. Pleasant. 21.III.11

Bottle, Drongens Plezierke. Vinous raisin and plum aroma. Light chocolate and wood. Hazy red, creamy off-white layer. Dry minerally yeast edges, raisins, wood, orangepeel notes. Dry mouthfeel, sparkly, medium body. Light caramel aftertaste. Well balanced and tasty and surprisingly fresh for a Dubbel. Thanks Pivnizub!

33cl bottle from Dranken Geers. Brownish red clear, thick beige head. It’s a decent dubbel with some lovely brown malts and some very good hops actually. Little bit of fruit too. Very good malts though.

Bottle. Deep red/brown pour with a large beige head. Aroma of fruit. Tastes fruity, sweet, hoppy, hint of sourness. A quite complex Belgian dubbel, decent stuff.

33cl, Ambiorix Brune. in Ambiorix chalice. pours orange/brown, creamy off white head, with yeasty sediments. Aroma is malty, hoppy and some spices. Taste, candi sugar is prominent, barley and wheat for a grainy palate, caramel malts with light roast and faint cocoa touch. Hoppy with some light bitterness with honey like mouth feel. Profile remains malty with caramel.

Giant lumpy head tops this red-brown beer. Ripe, vinous aroma with a woody, sour edge. Rich, almost wine-like flavour and texture. Dry, woody aftertaste.
