Brewed since 1985. It is a top fermentation beer with refermentation in the bottle. Color: dark red-brown beer. Taste: very subtle taste, mixture of fruit, herbs and caramel flavor without one of them becoming predominant with a slightly bitter aftertaste.

Recommended by the staff (Shadi) at the Waterhuis, this was a nice brown ale that was hoppier than most. Good choice.

330ml bottle. Very dark brown in colour with a decent beige head. Chocolate and spice aroma with some floral hops. The flavour was sweet, with more chocolate, some doughy malt and red fruit. Enjoyable.

Bottle, picked up from The Hop Duvel, Gent, Belgium, consumed 26-12-07 Pours chesnut brown with an off-white head and the cheekiest of red glints shining through. This initially tasted a bit thin (no bad thing and quite a relief after all of those heavier beers) Gentle carbonation sends bubbly sweet malts and unripe plum flavours whipping through the mouth, a really lovely fruitiness to this beer. Found this quite intriguing and a change from the bigger brasher beers, it really hits the spot. Very nice.

Bottle. Light unclear medium brown color with a average to large, frothy / creamy, good lacing, mostly lasting, beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel / roasted, nutty, moderate yeasty, light brown sugar. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and light to moderate bitter with a average to long duration. (Nut bitternes). Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft. (151007)

Bottle: Poured dark brown with reddish tint, the head is thin and off white. Aroma is sweet malt. The taste follows up that sweet malt but has a dry alcohol finish that tingles. Overall very balanced dubbel.

[At Chez Moeder Lambic] Dark red with medium beige head. Sweet and spicy aroma. Taste is vinous and complex. Very good.

Dark brown color, frothy light brown head. Brown sugar, whisky burnt raisins in nose. Light body, slightly sour, milk chocolate mouth. Not really balanced and the sourness distracts from the beer. Burnt raisin brown sugar finish.

Bottled (as Drongens Plezierke). Dark brown/rubyish colour with small beige head. Aroma is malts, hops and some acidic fruits. Flavour has some bubblegu, in it along with the fruits. Quite different brew, but the bubblegummyness takes the flavour down a bit.

Bottle. Nice fruity and malty aroma. The flavour is also nice and malty, but a bit thin. Dark brown colour, small stable light brown head. Has some rather big floaties. Nice, but too anonymous.

Bottled as "Drongers Plezierke", alc. 7.6% (BB 10/2007)
Almost opaque dark brown, good tan head. Lemony hoppy nose. Grassy hoppy, lemony, a bit sweet flavor. Alcohol is very well hidden. Carbonated, a bit barnyardish and even a bit roasted malty flavor. Interesting brew. (6/4/8/3/13 3.4)
Re-rated, bottle BB 10/2007
Red ruby, small off-white head. Malty nose with vinegar, metal and berries. Malty with licorice notes plus some dark fruits. Nice sipping beer. Long but light hoppy and alcoholic aftertaste. (6/4/7/3/13 3.3)
