For anyone who finds strawberries irresistible, Timmermans Strawberry evokes the fragrance of long sunny days. Its strawberry flavour will have you wrinkling your nose in delight with each sip. Its luminous colour and its fruity freshness are a treat for taste-buds and eyes alike. A totally juicy experience.
Timmermans Strawberry Lambicus is brewed by adding natural juice to lambic beer, a blend that is then fermented in oak barrels. After which it is bottled.
Taste wise… Its aroma evokes the perfumes of a lovely summer’s day. Its strawberry flavour confirms the nose’s impression, without being over-sweet, and is enhanced by a real feeling of freshness, recalling those tiny green granules that are found around ripened strawberries. Its taste is consistent and spreads very quickly throughout the mouth, finishing on a note that is fruity rather than sweet.

330 ml bottle from Country Club Liquors.Nose is strawberries with hints of yeast. Murky purplish pink with a medium, heavy lacing pink head. Flavor is sweet ripe strawberries (but not as sweet as strawberry soda) No redeeming lambic characteristics other than appearance.

Bottled. Cloudy pink colour with a minimal and quickly dissipating off-white head. Aroma has strawberry notes, yes!!, strawberries... very strange... Flavor has acidic notes, more strawberries and vinegar. Dry in the final.

25 cl. draft @ Bier Central - served in a flute which is still not a lambic glass as far as I am concerned. It is something only those brewers of fruit beers pretending to be lambic brewers are trying to push on you. I felt like a fruit beer or at least not another bad to mediocre Belgian ale and I knew fully well what I was getting. Very hazy stuff looks like mushy rotting strawberries, strawberry fox red with a white head. Smells pretty much like jam made from overripe strawberries and strawberry candy, there is probably some serious sweetener in this. Taste is mostly strawberry candy and overripe, tad fermenting strawberries, bit weird, lightly rotting stuff, ending is sour like an energy drink, getting like Red Bull or Monster or something in here, it is probably that artificial sweetener sourness, lemonade. Body is a bit smoothie like - it is not a bad soft drink, would never pick it over Ice Tea probably, maybe over Nulu or something.

33cl bottle. Pours cloudy burnt orange brown with a nice layer of lace. The nose is of strawberry confection (maybe strawberry laces or strawberry sauce). The taste has more artifical strawberry flavour. The palate is medium bodied with a tangy texture and just enough carbonation to refresh in an otherwise not so refreshing beer. This is a bit too sweet for a lambic.

7/VII/2012 - 25cl bottle @ De Bistronoom (Oostende) - BB: 23/XI/13 (2012-692) Thanks to Christophe for the sample!
Cloudy copper red to rust brown beer, small off-white head, unstable, little adhesive. Aroma: wow, nasty! Urine, sourish, cheap strawberry candy, cheese, pretty dirty, moldy as well. MF: ok carbon, medium body. Taste: strawberry candy (those big soft light pink strawberry shaped ones, whatever, artificial stuff), bit cheesy, little sour, lemon juice. Aftertaste: sweet sugary, strawberry candy, cheesy. Funky and weird. Did not finish.

On tap at the Rake. Cloudy pink - amber beer. Light semi dry palate. Very sweet beer. Strawberry candy and a little bubblegum. Finishes dry, sweet and sour with a hint of something medicinal!

Bottle. Fresh strawberry aroma. Hazy reddish orange with a small off-white head. Sweet fresh strawberry a sour malt flavor. Light body with lively carbonation. I found the strawberry flavor surprisingly enjoyable.
