Bottle. Brown color. Malt, beechwood and smoked sausage in the aroma. Malty sweet flavor with smoked sausage, oak and hints of dried fruit. Very low on carbon.

Glass at Take One, Dark brown beer, small head. Aroma is smokey, smoked ham, malt, sweet. Taste is the same, light sweet. Ok

33cl Bottle at Hesp. Murky brown colour, beige head. Aroma of peat, smoke, fingerpaint, light malty, hint of sourness. Flavour is quite sour, hugely infected, peat smoke, not very good but strangely not terrible either. Light bodied.

Bottle @ Café Hesp. Opaque brown color, average sized off-white head. Aroma is heavy smoke and light peat. Taste malts, smoke, light to moderately sour. Meh. Not my thing at all.

Bottle Nearing its ’best before’ date, at home, bought at Mitra Groningen. Pours unclear brown with almost no head and almost flat. Sweet malts, smoked malts, chocolate malts, smoked pork sausage. Light sweet and smokey bitter. Under medium body, bit watery and almost no carbonation. It feels very light and thin body and abv-wise yet the aroma is quite heavy smoked pork-wise. 0.33 l bottle from ’Mitra’ (Groningen), best before December 2015. Gusher! Slightly hazy, golden amber with a massive, frothy, stable, white to tan head. Sweetish-malty, smoky aroma of caramel, nuts, smoked ham and a bit of iron. Sweetish-malty, smoky taste of caramel, nuts, smoked ham and iron, followed by a short, slightly bitter, rather smoky, slightly metallic finish. Thin to medium body, effervescent mouthfeel, excessive carbonation. Very likely past its prime but I assume this has never been a gem like the ones from Schlenkerla anyway. Still quite nice if you like smoked beers.

Bottle shared with Deanso / road soda. Lively pour. Amber with a big off white head. Aroma of smoke, malt, caramel, overripe dark fruit and band aid. Flavour is moderate sweet and bitter. Light medium bodied with moderate carbonation.

33cl bottle from Mitra Groningen. A bit tooo much pressure but not a gusher. Thick off white head. Smokey aroma. Very hazy amber pour. Nice smokey aftertaste

flesje bij van Erp vandaan te Groningen, schenkt helder amber met minimale witte kraag. aroma van gerookte hammen, lekker rookmout die alles overheerst, prima... smaken zijn redelijk aan de zoete kant, matig bitter, sterk, redelijk rookmouten, lichte chocolade, lichte caramel, biscuitjes, noten, medium body, glad/romig van textuur, lage co2. clean en goed gebrouwen.
