Kneel before the Heavy lord.
Remember when we brewed with the three and only, 3 floyds?
The result is here..times 3. Greet Heavy lord, a mash up of their famous Imperial Stout, Dark Lord and our own Imperial Stout, Heavy Water. Aged in fresh Bourbon Barrels for 6 weeks and then infused with Cacao and Vanilla. One part in keg, one part in cask and one part in cask which has been soaked in Guatemalan coffee.

Keg at Beavertown Extravaganza, day Juan, 08/0917. Black topped with a decent tan swirl. Nose is charr, roast malts, dark toffee, light cocoa rub, faint coffee. Taste comprises roast malt, light peppery spice, toffee fudge, molasses, vanilla, dark chocolate. Full bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close, drinks below the hefty 14% advertised. Decent impy stoot.

At Borefts 2017. Aroma of creamy chocolate, creamy milky coffee and vanilla. Taste has booze, vanilla, chocolate, creamy milk chocolate and caramel. Not the beast I was expecting, especially the bourbon is a bit subdued. Still good though, but somewhat overrated.

Sampled from tap at Borefts 2017. Black with a beige head. Sweetish, malty and slightly roasty aroma of dark chocolate, coffee and hazelnut. Rather sweet, malty, slightly roasty taste of milk chocolate, dark chocolate, coffee, hazelnut and vanilla, followed by a medium long, moderately roasty-bitter, slightly earthy finish. Full body, creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Very tasty!

@Borefts 2017 van tap, zwart met volle fijne kaki kraag. aroma en smaken zijn redelijk zoetig, dik, vol en romig, geroosterde en gebrande mouten, alcoholisch, chocolade, veel bourbon, mega dik, romig, vanille, wat drop, volle body, lange dikke zoete afdronk. top

Draft @ Borefts 2017. Black color with a brown head. Aroma's: sweet, syruppy, heavy roasted malts. Retronasal too, it's sweet and roasted. Flavor is sweet, roasty, soft. Full bodied. Long finish, roasted and light bitter.

Sampled @ Borefts Beer Festival 2017, day 1. Opaque pitch black color, average to medium sized brown colored head. Smell and taste malts, roasted malts, slightly liquorice, liquorice bitter. Don't know why I get liquorice so dominantly over the surprisingly low presence of the bourbon, vanilla and cocoa as mentioned. Medium body, quite intense and heavy, soft carbonation. Decent now, but I will rerate if I ever have the chance to compare notes.

Sampled at Borefts Bier Festival 2017. Pitch black pour with a short-lived espresso head. Notes of bourbon, chocolate, vanilla, cherries, cocoa, overripe apples, apple brandy, umami and wood. A bit too sweet and gets even more sweeter when it passes 10C, or so.
