Bottle. Dark brown color. Aroma has sweet caramel, roasted malt, nuts and chocolate. Taste of licorice, caramelised malt, hazelnut, chocolate and some mocha. Not bad, but quite generic and made to please the masses.

30cl Bottle from AH. Clear ruby-brown colour, beige head. Aroma of milk chocolate, burnt caramel, light roast, tobacco. Flavour is medium sweet, malty, caramel, roast, some tobacco, chocolate, light bitterness. Light bodied. OK but very bland.

Bottle. Color: Dark ruby, thin light brown head. Taste: Pretty sweet, dark roasted malt, some hopbitterness. Notes of chocolate and black coffee. Nice beer from Brand, although it is a porter for the mass.

33 cl. bottle @ home, bought @ Wijnzinnig, Gendt. Clear dark brown with a beige head. Roasted malts and red fruits in the aroma. Sweet, earthy taste. Quite nice.

0.3 l bottle from ’Van der Velden Wijn & Gedistillierd’, best before November 2017. Sweetish-malty, slightly roasty aroma of dark chocolate, coffee, licorice and hints of hazelnut. Rather sweet, malty, moderately roasty taste of dark chocolate, licorice, lots of coffee and traces of hazelnut, followed by a short, moderately roasty-bitter, slightly dry finish. Medium body, almost creamy mouthfeel, soft carbonation. Nice!

Sampled at Week van het Nederlandse bier festival, Den Haag 2017. Clear brown with a tan head. Aroma of malt, chocolate, licorice, caramel, toffee and overripe dark fruit. Flavour is moderate to light heavy sweet and moderate bitter. Medium bodied with soft carbonation.
