This beer is the culmination of the efforts of two world-class brewers to create the most vitalizing coffee stout in the world. AleSmith and good friend Mikkeller join forces, blending the legendary Speedway Stout and Beer Geek Brunch Weasel together into one massive Imperial Oatmeal Stout with enough coffee and oats to substitute for your weekend brunch.
A beer of this magnitude requires a robust coffee with enough backbone to compliment the roasty and dark malt flavors; Kopi Luwak Coffee is the perfect choice. These coveted coffee beans are selected for their ripeness and quality by the Indonesian Palm Civet, a jungle marsupial that devours the fruit of the coffee cherry. The beans are then gathered from jungle floors, washed, sun-dried, and roasted. This smooth and aromatic stout is seriously good to the last dropping.

Bottle. Pours pitch black with a medium brown head. Aromas of coffee, tobacco, sweet licorice, vanilla, lactose, malt, dark chocolate. Taste has coffee, vanilla, ash, hops, dark chocolate, malt, roast. Seems like a bad mashup of two great beers. I’d rather have a weasel and a speedway side by side.
2014. Palony, kawowy, zbozowy, niewiele ciala, czuc wiek. Dobre ale tylko tyle. Wytrawny. 3.6? Milo sie pije, bo lekki

Oxford tasting; 2015, 2 years old
Black color, small head. Aroma of dark malts, coffee, a bit of smoke. Full bodied, sweet, but also the roasted malts and coffee are evident , and so the alcohol; eventually they create something chaotic, rather than harmonious.

Bottle sample @ RBBWG Mar 10h. 2018, thanks Marko.

2015. Dark brown. Thin head. On the palate, there’s a lot of coffee, and a light chocolate note. The coffee actually comes across pretty harsh…burnt Italian espresso. Which is not at all what you want to do with kopi luwak. The body underneath the coffee bomb is sweet and chocolatey, little bit sticky. Pretty good, with a lot of sticky, chewy stuff, but the coffee is stronger than I’d like in terms of balance.
