Bottle at WWT tasting. Black with small beige head. Lots and lots of roasted malts, coffee and cocoa beans. Light marzipan and earthy leaves. Medium sweet with strong roasted bitter. Medium to full bodied. Nice stuff.

Bottle shared. Pours near black with a ring beige head. Aroma of licorice, caramel, toffee, dark chocolate and light roast. Flavor is heavy sweet and bitter. Light full bodied with soft carbonation.

Bottle shared with work colleagues. Oily black / dark brown coloured pour with a loose fleeting dark tan coloured head. Aroma is rich cocoa, rich dark chocolate, light berry, smooth roast. Flavour is composed of rich dark chocolate, cocoa, roast, oily. Palate is oily and thick with moderate carbonation. Good imply stout.

Bottle (75cl) @ Van Moll. Black colour with no real head. Smells coffee, roasty hint of red fruits, dark chocolate, nice. Tastes coffee, roasty, red fruits, very roasty actually, mocha. Love it. Full body, soft carbo.

Bottle from Hippo Beers. Black body with a thin tan head. Faint lacing. Aroma of plum, liqueur, vanilla and dark chocolate. Flavour of rich chocolate cake, tangy berries and burnt toast. Medium body with a creamy texture. Soft carbonation. A sweet, rich Imperial Stout.

Bottled 08/07/14 - Pours pitch black with a tiny head. Aroma of licorice, roasty malts, dark chocolate, berries, cherries and hints of cocoa. Taste is smooth, roasty and salty with hints of licorice, soy sauce, cherries and cocoa nibs. Finish is smooth, oily and warming with hints of salty licorice, berries and syrup. Interesting, but a bit unbalanced.

On tap at In de Wildeman. Black colour, beige head. Aroma of toffee, hard-roasted malts, black liquorice, some booze, coffee, chocolate, berries. Flavour is likewise, a little hot in the alcohol department, but lots of nice roast flavours and toffee, good bitter finish. Medium bodied.

Bottle from Cotteridge Wines; black pour with a thin creamy dark tan head, rich dark fruits and full on roasted malt aroma, taste has bitter plain chocolate, dark fruits, some sweetness, viscous mouthfeel, pleasant impy.

Ins Glas ergießt sich ein total schwarzes Bier mit einer ordentlichen braunen Schaumkrone. Geruch stark nach Kaffee, Schokolade, Vanille und Röstmalz. Geschmack sehr schokoladig, Vanille, viel Kaffee, bitter, etwas hopfig.

Bottle @ Dijleschuimers bierproeffestival 2014. Dark brown colour, borwn foam. Aroma of roasted malts, coffee and some caramel. Light sweet, bitter roasty finish. Good Imperial Stout.
