An intense, rich and luxurious stout, using six different grains (Maris Otter, Munich, Brown, Black & Chocolate malted barley; and rolled oats) to create a decadent complexity in malt profile, texture and balance.

33cl bottle. Bottled on 07/2014. Poured pitch black with a dark brown, thick head. Lovely rich aroma of roasted malt, coffee, some dried fruits, licorice. Massive. Flavor has licorice, dates, hops, strong coffee and roasted malt. Finish is long and adds layers of flavors, roast, coffee, licorice. Really good, full bodied IS.

Opaque dark brown beer, small pale tan head. Airy palate with light fine carbonation. Mild dark malts, slightly tangy. Touches of roast and cream. Light dry finish. It drinks below itโ€™s abv but otherwise this is just a decent stout for me,

Bottle from the brewery and drunk at home. Black beer with a thin tan head. Lots of dark high cocoa chocolate aroma. Touch of tar. OK in mouth. A little dry. Some spicy chocolate on the finish. Itโ€™s a very dark chocolately impy stout. Very dry too. Like roasted coffee. A little creamyness in the mouth before the roast takes over again. Itโ€™s been a long time since Iโ€™ve had an imperial stout. Lots of dark chocolate and then spicy and dry on the finish. Quite good. A little thick and oily on the end. Drinkable enough.
