Dog B is a very special beer. This beer will be released to commemorate our 6th anniversary in June 2013. Dog B is a beer which originally appeared as AB:04 (and then as Dog A last year) and was perhaps the sought after beer we ever brewed.

The beer will only be available to buy direct from BrewDog (at our AGM, our bars and our online shop) and will be offered exclusively to our shareholders first.

Dog B is a 15.1% Imperial Stout brewed with copious amounts of dark malts, pure cacao and coffee, balanced by the subtle addition of naga chilli. Perfect for ageing in your cellar or drinking fresh if you are lucky enough to get your paws on a bottle.

An imperial stout with specially selected Rio Caribe cocoa nibs, Sertao Carmo de Minas coffee and naga chillies.

This is our birthday beer and we can't wait to raise a glass with our equity punks on the 22nd of June!

Bottle DOG B that I picked up many years ago and is 13 years out of date now. Consumed at home Thursday 30th April 2026 watching The Mentalist on Netflix, we had Fish Fingers & Chips tonight for tea. Poured pitch black the light beige head was impressive for a few seconds before it was consumed by the only, oily depths below. It's held up remarkably well, no off flavours, still plenty of chocolate, smooth, rich and actually very decent. Score 7.7

6y old anniversary beer, opened when 12 y old - aged in my own cellars since release.
Pours black, small tanned head fades fast. Scent is roasty, soy, dark choc. Taste is fairly smooth, roasty, intense , soy. Milder coffee. Some dark chocolate. Held up very well, though i remember it being better ( times and standards sure have changed since, though). Alcohol is quite rough early on but smoothens out in the aftertaste - which is the best part of this beer at this time. Copious bitterness from the roasted malts guide the coffee and roasty aroma's to a crescendo, leaving you grabbing back for another sip. Mouthfeel is fairly full - nothing compared with modern pastries obviously. Medium mild oxidation is noticeable, but than again, the beer is double as old as the brewery was when this was brewed....
