Jaipur X uses all the same ingredients as our flagship IPA, Jaipur, but amped up to create an incredible Imperial IPA. It delivers an explosion of grapefruit and lemon in the aroma. The body brings the perfect balance which Jaipur is known for, with a light honey and apricot sweetness that works in harmony with the refined hoppy bitterness. The Strengthened abv adds to the complexity with a hint of navel orange and an enveloping warmth on the finish.

Hops - Chinook, Centennial, Ahtanum, Simcoe, Columbus & Cascade.

Malt - Low Colour Maris Otter & Wheat Malt.

Tap at Billie’s.

Keg at Colmore, Brum. Aroma is malty with frit andna resinous streak. Opaque amber. Foamy white head. Flava matches the aroma really: resinous but also maltyneith a fruity streak. Light-medium bodied. Oily. Soft carbonation. Long dry somewhat astringent finish. Good stuff.

Can. Pours a golden yellow with a small head. Aroma is malty, creamy, smooth, guava and mango, papaya. Medium to big body. Smooth, malty and quite sweet. Lots of tropical fruit and crazy amount of guava - uncanny. Papaya, mango and pine. Really nice, very different from the regular Jaipur.

Draught keg at the Queens Road Tap, Leicester. Amber and slightly hazy with a thin beige head. Light aroma but there's some gentle tropical fruit hop, some caramel. Taste is mostly bitter although there's some sweetness to the fore. Laden with dank, bitter hop to the heavily bitter finish. Astringent on the aftertaste. Yep, it's Jaipur on steroids. Lovely stuff. Glad to finally have the chance to try it.

White foamy head on a pale golden coloured body. Pithy aroma. Medium to full, smooth with a sharp back. Citrus peel, malt, earthy, grapefruit & floral tastes with an extremely bitter pithy finish. Extreme - Love it! 440ml 10% can shared with the best Salt & Vinegar crisps - Goodnight!

Extra strong version of Thornbridge’s classic Jaipur IPA for the tenth anniversary of that beer, sampled at Billie’s Craft Beer Fest, thanks Steve for sharing. Snow white, moussy, opening head on a hazy deep ‘old golden’ beer with apricot hue. Aroma of pink grapefruit juice, green kiwi, passionfruit, green pear, starfruit, white bread, lemongrass. Dryish, clean onset, green kiwi and unripe mango with a strong citric edge (pomelo), lively carbonated with full but smooth mouthfeel; cereally and white-bready core, soaked in expressive hoppiness, grapefruity in a gentle way though still firmly bittering, further adorned with exotic passionfruit, mango and kiwi aromas. Great IPA, somewhere in between a classic West Coast DIPA and NEDIPA, which is fine by me…

Rate number 800, and by way of celebrating I’ve opened theis bottle which has been sat at the back of my cellar for rather a long time. Best Before dtae is 13/12/2016 ! Large bottle from (almost certainly) the late lamented BeerDock. Has a musty aroma with bitter oranges and brandy snaps to the fore. Pours a golden orange with a small off-white head and some lacing. In the mouth the alcoholic strength is to the fore, but there is still plenty of bitter hops, nuts, oranges and honey to offset this. A slightly creamy texture as well. Finish is bitter fruits and a warm glow in the throat and stomach ! Excellent. I shall be savouring this for a while yet.
