Na de val’ is a blend of those same Belgian apples with Normandy cider apples, in a 50/50 ratio, barrel-aged in Bordeaux barrels. It’s a bit higher in alcohol than hoogmoed (7.2%) and a bit more tannic, because of the bitter cider apples. Both ciders from Antidoot (including Hoogmoed) are fermented with our wild/native yeast culture, bone dry, unfiltered and lightly refermented in the bottle.

Wild festival 18/19 batch. Hazy golden with no head. Sour apples, dry. Decent but not easy to drink.

I don't often drink ciders, but if they were all like this I'd definitely get more. Lovely funky tartness, lots of apple, some wood. Fresh, sweet and light, but with some lovely subtle bitterness in the back. Very well balanced.

Bottle. Malt Attacks, Brussels. Shared at Brownhill and Co. Hazed, pale gold. Little to no head. Nose has dessert apple. Apple pomace. Light, earthy herb. Tang of wine. Some notes of aniseed as it warms. Taste has a touch of apple sweetness, but is mostly dry and tart. Drinks really easy for the ABV. Fine carbonation. Tart and drying finish. Nice one.

(750ml bottle from Etre Gourmet) Aroma of fresh apples, a nice blend without a character that stands out, some hay and dry leaves, moderate mulchy funk, oak, a bit of citrus tartness. Flavour of fresh baking apple and some green apple touches too, funky hay, oak with light vanilla, some light earthy touches, just lightly sweet with some citrusy, almost wine-like acidity and a bone dry mineral finish with moderate apple skin aftertaste. Medium-bodied and slick with a nice effervescence. Very dry crisp cider with a nice blend of apples, funky side is more on the nose though. Nice one.
