Seven malts were used to create deep flavors of coffee, chocolate, caramel, and molasses. A hint of bitterness and herbal character from carefully selected European and American hops help support the monolithic maltiness. After conditioning in stainless steel, this beer waited patiently in bourbon barrels for 8 to 12 months.

Sampled at Ace & Kees. Black with light tan head. Big sweet deep roasted chocolate malts. Salmiak, toffee, big bourbon and vanilla, light alcoholic note. Big sweet and moderate bitter. Full body, oily and greasy feel. Soft carbonation. Very nice. --- Beer merged from original tick of Jackie O's Dark Apparition - Bourbon Barrel Aged on 15 Nov 2018 at 17:32 - Score: 8

375 mL bottle poured, sent over by JStax. Thanks, Jeremy! Finally found a good time to crack this one. Thick body, dense jet black pour with an espresso brown head. Thick chocolate, brown sugar, and Bourbon, flavor over booziness for sure. It's ridiculously smooth. Just an incredible beer here.

Danke an Sinh4. Rund malziger, deutlich holziger Antrunk. Mild karbonisiert, Schokolade, weich würzig, etwas bitter. Vollmundig, Rosinen, etwas trocken werdend. Süß, nicht übertrieben, hell holzig. Gut. 10/9/12/12//12
