375 ml bottle @ Nacht van de Grote Dorst 2016. Unclear, pale pink body with a moderate sized and fast disappearing off-white head. Quite light in aroma, funky, acidic, wood, sour cherry and lemon. Flavor is funky with Brett, barnyard, wood, lemon, sour cherry and a bit spicy. Relatively mild in flavor and I found the cherry flavor almost in the background compared with the typical Belgium Kriek that actually often can be too much. Normally I prefer my Kriek a bit matured to let the cherry flavor settle a bit, this one has still the young, tartness in combination with a bit more modest cherry flavor. A bit unusually but I like it. Fine balanced body and quite smooth in aftertaste.

Pale pinkish color with small head. Aroma is cherry yoghurt, wood. Taste is cherry, wood, has some Schaerbeekse feeling in there, cherry stone, but also a lot of yoghurt. High carbonation. Good.

Bottle shared by jackl. Thanks! Clear pink, medium sized frothy off-white head. Good retention. Aroma of dry tart cherries, raisin, citrus, pale malt, hay, mild vanilla and wood. The taste is hay, earth, strong tart cherries, oak, funk, lingering sour finish. Medium bodied, lingering tartness.

Refrigerated bottle corked and capped green bottle, bottled on January 23, 2012, says 8.1% abv, IP trade with travlr. Clear peach with very little head. Aroma is tart, medium body, low carbonation and very little lacing. Taste is tart, some oak, and some cherries. Really glad to get to try this, but a little underwhelmed.

375mL bottle, sent from Gregg657 (thanks a lot, Pete), pours an opaque cloudy pinkish orange amber with a small, quickly-dissipating white head. Nose brings out an authentic lambic barnyard funk, followed by cherries, and a touch of horse blanket. Flavour is that of a pretty damn authentic lambic, with a little more alcoholic kick, revealing notes of funk, dry tart cherries, brett and a little alcohol. Really robust and very Belgian-esque - would stack up amongst the best of them. Very elegant and a pleasure to drink. A shame it's just a one-off rarity.
