The wolf inside this Imperial IPA is trying to walk upright. This bright, aromatic, and unrelenting beer was brewed with our friends in the band Pig Destroyer, and features tons of hops and hop extracts for power and drinkability.

Bottle. Golden body with a frothy, off-white head. Aroma of peach, apricot, toasted grain, tropical fruits, citrus, orange. The flavor is moderately sweet and lightly bitter. It finishes moderately sweet and lightly to moderately bitter. Medium body, velvety/sticky texture, lively carbonation. Big fruit taste of peach, orange juice, citrus. Only slightly hot in the finish. Sweet for an imperial IPA (unless I kept the bottle too long). Otherwise, good stuff.

GABF 2015. copper color with a white head. Sweet, hop juice and sweet malt. High alcohol is noticeable. Hops are powerful but it is fairly well balanced by the sweet malt. an intense double ipa.

Thick hazy deep glden orange with a thick dense sandy head. Light caramely malt aroma but tons of sweet melon and tropical fruit hoppiness. Thick slippery palate and plenty bitter but the sweet smooth boozy goodness is the swinging pig here. Very big, too bad no one to share it with tonight...too bad.

Almost clear golden, off-white head. Big malts in the nose, citrus hops, with hints of berries and some resin. The taste is also big on malts, though the citrus hops do a good job supporting it with some freshness. Spicy and zesty finish. Smooth and powerful.

Keg at the 4th Copenhagen Beer Celebration, Session I, 01/05/2015. Very lightly hazed orange amber with a decent off white head. Nose carries punchy hop notes, bitter citric shreds, grapefruit, pine. Taste comprises pine needle, juicy hops, orange pith, straw, grapefruit. Medium bodied, fine carbonation, semi drying close with semi aggressive hop bitterness. Decent DIPA, drinks below the ABV and never gets sweet or sticky.

Draught@CBC2015. Slightly hazy orange colour with a small fluffy head. Aroma is fruits, some grapes, mild resin, wood, sweet malts as well as some slight notes of alcohol. Flavour is fruity, floral, some pine, resin, mild grass as well as both some sweeter malts as well as some quite biscuity maltiness as well.

Draught sample at CBC 2015. Hazy, amber-golden colour with a thin, dense white head. Fruity aroma with a powerful hops kick: Citrus fruits, resin, floral hops matched by a good amount of caramel malts. Peaches and sweet, exotic fruits. Taste is bitter. Full body with a creamy texture and a soft carbonation. Lasting dry and bitter finish with lots of resin, slightly spiced and citrus fruits. Big, fat and very hoppy. Excellent IIPA.
