Some kinda fizzy weak head that’s going to be gone soon and a slightly translucent black-burgundy body with no carbonation. Soft sweet barley aroma, vague baker’s chocolate notes. Flavour is coffee and sugary barley, fake chocolate, edging on overbearing but not quite there. Kind of cloying on the back end. Just about average.

650 ml bottle. Pours a dark brown with red notes and a persistent light tan head. Aromas of rich coffee/mocha and roasted malts. Flavors of strong coffee with cream, cashews, roasted malts and a hint of vanilla. Smooth. Really nice.

65cl Bottle brought from Canada, thanks H&T! Hazy ruby-brown to black colour, thin beige head. Aroma of loads of ground coffee, sour roastedness, berries. Flavour is much more mellow, coffee, some chocolate, oak, berries, light-bitter chocolate finish with some coffee. A bit fizzy, medium-bodied. Not a great brew, but quite tasty nonetheless.

Cask Brown, small beige head. Pleasant coffee nose. More of the same in the palate with medium roast. On the thin side, but tasty.

Dark brown color, almost black, with beige creamy head. Aroma of coffee and spices, spice cupboard. Good body, and smooth mouthfeel; good flavor of coffee and roasted malts, some dark chocolate. Balanced, elegant; for the style, it’s quite good.

re-rate. Reddish dark brown, sweetish nose with some vanilla. Sweet and coffeeish with a mellow caramelly, toasty backdrop.

On tap at the Alibi Room, pours a dark amber brown with a small tan head. Aroma is dominated by coffee / espresso, with some kit kat-like chocolate in there as well. Flavour of medium strength coffee, light roasted malt to a lesser degree. Thin palate, but medium-to-strong flavours. Good.
