On tap at 4. Opatovina Beer Fest, shared with Marko. Deep black coloured, medium sized brown head, chocolate, roast, alcohol and mild wood in the nose. Roasted malt, dark chocolate, mild coffee and alcohol with bitter chocolate finish. Well done.

Tap at Craft Room, Opatovina Beer Fest. Pitch black, lasting tan head. Coffee chocolate, black bread in the aroma, full. Smooth taste, roast, coffee, some underlying hoppy notes, just mildly soapy. Bitterish finish and aftertaste, dark chocolate. Classy, excellent.

330ml bottle from the brewery, 7.4% abv on the label. Poured aggressively from a chilled bottle reveals a very huge foamy and creamy beige-brown head of some staying power on top of a black body, vaguely translucent in the right light. The aroma is heavy on the cabbage, lots of vegetable with only soft creamy coffee hints poking through with what seems to be a fair amount of effort. Also just a teeny bit of roasted barley in there when prodding further. The flavour is huge grapey motor oil, plum, sugary black coffee, chocolate cake, those alcoholized chocolates you get during the holiday season. Dry finish. A very charming big stout, not much to smell but it gets a lot of other things right and really is a pleasure to drink.

Bottle from Offie & Toffee. A subdued pour, but a very pretty beer with a golden and glowing head. A nose of lots of burnt malt and alcohol. The taste was the same, all of that malt and an alcoholic burn, but with very little mouthfeel. I had the BBn 03/03 the night before and that was much better than this.

Bottle shared with JMD on board Fridtjofen 12.06.18. Ebony. Uneven brown head and lacing. Absolutely superb aroma and taste of roasted malts, tar, creosote, coffee, vanilla, oak, pine, leather, corints and solid citrus bitterness.
