deep dark brown colour, large, creamy beige head which lasts for several minutes leaving back a creamy beige lacing finally; aroma and taste of roasted coffee, burnt wood, dark chocolate, slight licorice and dried sour cherry; excellent stout! excellent valentine day gift :)

The Kernel Export Stout London 1890, Fläschchen von Lager Lager, Berlin. - Tief schwarzbraun, dunkelbrauner Schaum. - In der Nase schweres Röstmalz mit Mokka und Lakritz, sehr gediegen, dazu kühlender Hopfen. - Antrunk massiv röstmalzig mit kerniger Bitterschokolade, zart säuerlichem Pumpernickel und feiner krautiger Hopfenherbe. Milder rezent, vollmundig, ölig schwer. Leicht trockener, sehr malzbitter-hopfenherber Abgang. - Gediegenes, rundes Stout, dennoch leicht asketisch wirkend.

Cask - Pours a clear brown black colour with a small tight foamy tan head. Aroma is dark roasted malt, liquorice and marmite with some yeasty notes. A roasted malt and yeasty taste, some sweetness with marmite and ripe dark fruit, bitter coffee ground notes and a light dry ashy finish. Delicious!

Bottle from Craftissimo at home after Tai Kwun. Nearly opaque dark dark brown pour with cocoa-tan head. Aroma is leather, dark chocolate, coffee, earthy hops. Sharp. Taste is sharp, dark chocolate sweet and bitter. Quite acidic and almost burnt, in a way I appreciate, but isn’t my favorite. Palate is rich but not heavy. Lasting leather licorice alcohol taste. Very nice.

02.11.2018 -- on tap at la bonus points, barcelona. pours an opaque black with a dense brown head. aroma of roast, ash, cocoa. flavour of dark chocolate, coffee, slight citrus. very roasty and chewy, not too sweet, alcohol is well hidden.

Bottle. Color: Black, light brown head. Aroma: Mocha, coffee, roasted malt. Taste: Mocha, coffee. Hints of roasted malt and dark chocolate. Hints of dried dark red fruit and vanilla, liquorice. Very smooth, creamy, low carbonation. Oily mouthfeel. Medium to above medium body. Dry-ish mouthfeel. Very nice.
